Q.
I live in a building complex, now I'm going to sell my apartment and I have requested a certificate concerning the state of debts with the community, requested by the Public Notary in order to draw up the deed.
When I sell the house, do I have to send a copy to the community?
A.
Yes, the Horizontal Property Act establishes that you must inform the community where there is a change of ownership, otherwise you, as the seller, will also be liable, together with the new owner, for community debts on the property.
